By the time you read this journal, our very first Rendez-vous at Womance will have already happened! It’s a brand-new way of doing things. We’re giving you the chance to shop new arrivals two weeks in advance on the app. That’s two weeks of app exclusivity, from Wednesday at 8 p.m. to Thursday at 11:59 p.m., happening only twice a month. I am SOOOO excited to hear what you think of this first shopping session. And for those who didn’t get a chance to hop on the app because life gets busy and sometimes we have a million other things to do, new items will still be available on the website every Tuesday and Thursday! We’re talking 3 to 7 new items dropping every Tuesday and Thursday. I can’t wait to see the impact in our stores too! It’s going to be so beautiful to see new clothings arriving constantly. It’ll keep the look of the stores feeling fresh and ever-changing.
Speaking of stores, we have a little (big) new one coming very soon. We’re opening at Place Ste-Foy on Friday, April 3rd! JUST IN TIME FOR THE LONG WEEKEND! I’m almost afraid of jinxing it, but construction is going really well so far. If it keeps up like this, we’ll have over 2 weeks to get properly settled in, which is definitely a plus. It’s going great, if you ignore the fact that every time I visit the site, it costs me another $1,000... but to be honest, that’s just how construction goes. There are obviously unexpected issues, but also things we decide to add once we’re on-site. For example, the tile in the fitting rooms that we added to install the benches (see photo). I even told Mylène, our store supervisor in charge of the Place Ste-Foy site, that the trick to avoiding cost overruns is to just never answer the phone when the contractor calls..! haha Jokes aside, everything is going super well. A big part of the project was redoing the entire ceiling. Part of it was a drop ceiling and the other part was filled with lights that barely even worked. There were so many, it was crazy! Yet, the store was still really dark, so we decided to rip it all out and start fresh. We installed LED lighting all around the ceiling perimeter. WOW, it’s gorgeous! It looks so chic.
The Trois-Rivières store was our first one with the new store concept, and Place Ste-Foy is the 2nd, and seriously, it’s incredible. This is our first full renovation from floor to ceiling, so I was really stressed. It’s a massive project, but we’re lucky to be in such good hands for the build. Our contractors are so competent, and it really shows in the quality of the work and the relationship we have with them. When I visited the site last week, Guy, the site manager, told me: "It’s a real point of pride to build such a beautiful store." GUY. YOU’RE KILLING ME!
This is also our largest store to date, so we’ll be able to put out a lot of stock. The Sans-Façon corner is smaller than the one in Trois-Rivières and much better suited (it’s way too big in TR, so this will be perfect). We’re currently planning a totally wild opening weekend! We’ll have gifts for the first 50 customers every day, surprises, and discounts! It’s going to be festiiiive +++! We’ll be sharing all the details on social media very soon! :)))
