Choosing the perfect blush color can look intimidating, but luckily we are here to help you choose. You often hear that it has to do with your skin tone or under tone (yeah, what does that even mean!), but it also has to do with your lifestyle and your preferences. Today, we dive into all those factors to help you make the perfect choice.

Understanding your Skin Tone vs. Undertone

Your skin tone is your surface color and can vary slightly with the seasons. Usually we call that fair, light, tan or deep etc. On the other hand, your skin undertone does not vary. The undertone is the natural color underneath your skin. There 3 main types of undertones: warm, neutral and cool. 

Warm undertones lean towards golden, peachy and yellow colors.

Cool undertones have pink and blue colors in the skin.

Neutral undertones are usually a balanced mix of both.

That’s all well and fun.. But how do  you tell which one you are? Look at the veins on your arm and if they are blue or purple you likely have a cool undertone. If your veins are greenish it means you have warm undertones. If you can’t really tell, you probably have neutral undertones.

Choosing your Blush Color

Now that you know your skin tone and your undertones, you are ready to choose the best blush color for you.
