Andréanne's Journal - September

We have a biiiiiiig fall season coming up for Sans-Façon, with two masterclasses in Longueuil and in Saguenay! I’m so happy that our vision of creating these inspiring evenings where we all get together to learn more about makeup techniques in a supportive environment, free from pressure or pretense, is coming to fruition. I used to dream about attending events like this and so I figured, why not create one?

If you’ve never been to one of our masterclasses, you are missing out! The evening starts around 6 p.m. and lasts around three hours. Depending on the size of the room that we book, we usually sell between 120-150 tickets. We welcome you with a fun cocktail hour complete with snacks and then present all of the unique skin and haircare treatments. Afterwards comes my favourite part: Joany does my makeup step-by-step with clear instruction, so that you can understand the process well enough to recreate it for yourself at home. To give you an even deeper glimpse into how each product performs, she only does one half of my face. This lets you really see the difference each product makes.

Afterwards, we have five professional makeup artists available to touch up your makeup, help you find the perfect tint for your skin tone and give you additional tips for your specific features. If you’re worried that you don’t really own or use much makeup or don’t know enough about cosmetics to attend an evening like this, I’m here to put your fears at rest. What I love about our masterclasses is that 90% of the participants barely wear any makeup at all!

For our two upcoming masterclasses, we’ve added a little something new. When you buy your $60 ticket, you also receive a $40 gift card AND you are automatically entered into the Opération Enfant Soleil Dream Passport contest, which gives you the chance to win over $100,000 in travel credit. So, not only do you get to participate in a super fun even, but you also get to help children in the Opération Enfant Soleil program (plus who wouldn’t want to win so much travel credit!) Wondering who to come with? I mean, obviously it’s a great time to bring your bestie, but we also get so many girls who come with their mothers. It really makes a great mother/daughter date. Or why not invite some girls from the office for some fun team building in a casual environment? I’ll put the link right here so you can get tickets.

Setting up these events is a lot of work but it is so, so worth it. We work really hard for months in advance to create the perfect evening so that you can both learn about new makeup techniques and hopefully leave with some new friends too! Each event requires that we find and secure the ideal space, choose our partners, select gifts and decide on décor. Usually around 5 or 6 girls from the office travel to the event destination and spend the night. I often have to leave afterwards so I usually don’t stay with the girls overnight, but they always rent a big Air BnB and have a lot of fun.

While we’re able to get a lot of data from web statistics on who are customers are (their ages, what they do, etc.), there’s nothing that beats being able to meet and chat with you in real life. I feel so privileged to have the chance to experience these evenings with you and my team!

See you in Longueuil or Saguenay for a girls' night? :)
