We are excited to introduce Geneviève Hamel, one of the participants in our new campaign highlighting our customers! Geneviève favours cosmetic lines that can meet the needs of different age groups. Her beauty philosophy is based on simplicity and effectiveness; she looks for products that lighten up her routine without compromising on results. With her practical and inclusive approach, Geneviève perfectly embodies the values of Sans-Façon. We are honored to have her represent our brand in this campaign. We asked her a few questions to learn more about her relationship with cosmetics, the choices she makes when purchasing her beauty essentials, and her overall perception of the industry.
How important is your beauty routine to you?
My morning routine is my favourite: simple, effective and tasteful. I like fairly neutral tones. I like to keep things simple, so its important for me to be able to have a minimalist routine first thing in the morning.
How do you perceive the cosmetics industry in general?
There really is something for all age groups, so I find it interesting that young women can find what they are looking for as much as more mature women who want to cover a few wrinkles or simply want to have a healthy glow in the morning. Fortunately, there is really something for everyone—whether for day or night, show makeup or light makeup. How do I perceive the makeup industry? Evolving!
What are the criteria that you prioritize when shopping for cosmetics?
I don’t make judgements based solely on price because I’m not convinced that paying hundreds of dollars guarantees you a better result. I think the makeup you choose and pay for needs to represent a little bit of your pace and your nature, a little bit of your DNA as we say. If you paid $10 for a simple mascara that you love and it makes you happy, for me that’s a good product. Ideally, I look for products that are as pure as possible, so vegan cosmetics are a priority for me.
Where did you discover Sans-Façon products?
I think I heard from it through little bits here and there and then one thing led to another. A bit on social media and also a few ads… come to think of it, it’s probably mostly social media! It’s definitely trending right now.
What made you turn to Sans-Façon?
It’s pure and it’s simple, two factors that I really value a lot. You don't need to have 43 products to achieve the right look. I also really like the ingredients (and the price point too which is interesting.) It's open to all generations, as much for my goddaughter who is 14 years old as for an aunt who would be 60. I’m in my forties and I think it suits me perfectly!
What is your must-have in the Sans-Façon range?
I'm still such a fan of the under-eye patches. I find that they really give an instant healthy glow. There's a really nice hydration. Then, it’s almost like a little breath of fresh air appears on your face in the morning. So, I really have a soft spot for the eye patches.
